The New/Old restaurant in Ealing in East London is a real treat for locals. One of them said "From EALING to Hollywood" because he was surprised by the high level of interior furnishings. Clients asked me to move and rebrand old restaurant "Sowa Restaurant" into new, much larger premises (300 m2) in the same district of London. The place was supposed to make the WOW effect, encourage taking photos and tagging in social media as well as being distinctive and functional. From the beginning, with the participation of customers, we gave great importance to the number of seats inside and outside because this is the key to this business! A functional kitchen, storage spaces, as well as designer toilets are also our work. Dining room remains the heart of course. The main space was divided for the POLKA PATISSERIE confectionery section (formerly Sowa Patisserie) and the POLKA KITCHEN restaurant area with a bar, serving colourful drinks. Right behind it we designed the "live kitchen" – a station where dumplings (one of the most important and distinguishing Polish dish) are made. The colour scheme of the interior was kept in bottle greens, wood and white and black marble. We made this place elegant and timeless.
